My boys waitin for the bell to ring.

Jeremy is finding his nametag

Gentry putting his nametag on the wall folder as high as he can reach. (last night at Kindergarten open house Jason told him and Jeremy to put the nametag at the very top so they will always be able to find it)

Waiting in the kindergarten Hallway...I had a lump in my throat :( They were very excited though and I can't wait to hear how their 1st day went! :)

Horse Camp!

Jeremy, Gentry, Jessica feeding Rooster

Rooster, Jessica, Jeremy, Gentry

This is my fav picture! So so adorable. Gentry and Jeremy are letting Rooster eat out of their hands. I was working at 4-H Horse camp with my friend Jessica. She brought her horse one day and I brought my kids one day. They wanted to help feed and wash Rooster so I snapped a couple of shots. I'm hoping that my boys won't be as scared and unsure of horses like their mother, so I appreciate Jess letting them be involved with Rooster. :)

Toy guns and throats DON'T mix...

So Jeremy was pushing Gentry on the tire swing and put his toy gun in his mouth to be able to use both hands to push.
The tire swing came back and hit the gun which got shoved down into his throat. He started crying and I just thought his teeth cut into his lips.

When the blood started pouring out and wouldn't stop or slow down I got a little concerned. I was looking at his inner lips and cheek and couldn't see anything. Finally my eyes focused onto the source of the blood near the back of his throat and saw a dime sized hole.

I was freaked out and rushed him to the ER. (80 mph all the way there). The doctor at first wanted to sew it up because of how deep it was and he could see muscle tissue. He consulted with an Ear Nose and Throat specialist and was advised to let it heal on it's own.

The doctor said since he's so young, the risk of something going wrong in surgery is far greater than just letting it heal on it's own. I was very skeptical but I left and Jeremy was on a pudding, ice cream and jello diet.

After 4 days the hole was closed yet still very raw. He could eat more foods, but nothing scratchy. He was also put on an anti-biotic so there would not be any infection.

Hopefully he learned his lesson by not sticking things in his mouth...I guess we'll see. The doctor did say that if it had been any deeper it would have hit the artery and he would have bled out. I must say that I was very glad to give my child all the ice cream and pudding he wanted rather than be planning his funeral. Parents: show your children these pics and warn them that the same could happen.

Family Pics...

Me and my boys...
Me and Jeremy...

My silly boys...

Me and Gentry...

By the River...We had a good friend (thanks Manda) take some pics in Logan Canyon last friday. The sun was really bright and didn't give us a lot of good shots, but Amanda is good and we got quite a few good ones. (enough to fill my frames...) :) Right at the end my boys were finally getting the idea of what we were doing and were starting to cooperate like little 4-yr-olds do and the sun was starting to go down but we ran out of memory on the camera. We weren't sure what we got but as I looked through there's enough and some very good ones I think. Anyways, I thought I would share some...enjoy!

Zoo and Park adventure

A couple of weeks ago I had the fun time of watching my nieces and nephews from Boise while their mother participated in a bike ride called, "the Little Red Riding Hood" just for women. Abi, Emma, and Logan spent the night with us and we had a party. I took them to the zoo and here they are feeding the ducks. I gave them money before we left the house and told them if they lost the money they wouldn't be able to feed the ducks. As we got over there, they didn't know what they were supposed to do with the money, so while I was waiting in line for the food, I had to stop the kids from throwing the dimes out to the ducks. They thought the ducks were going to actually eat the money instead of buying food. It was really funny. I guess I should have made myself more clear. :)
We walked through the zoo and almost at every gate, all the kids lined up like this to look and watch the animals moving around. We showed up at the right time. all of the animals were out and about.

Along with the zoo always comes the long awaited park! After we fed the ducks (which took a total of about 15 minutes max) we went to the park for a couple of hours, so they could burn some energy off.here is a "big turtle" that was crawling around. He was really close to the fence and the kids wanted to touch him, but I didn't want them to get their fingers bit cuz he was a little on the hungry side.

Here is the cookies we all made when they spent the night. I topped them with whip cream. It was a fun little treat. We also made popcorn and pancakes and mac n cheese with squeeze-its. It was really fun!
